What are the benefits of a Certified Organic soap?
A certified organic soap is simply made of natural ingredients that are good for your skin. Unlike non-organic soaps, there are no artificial fragrances or harsh chemicals added. Not only are our natural ingredients good for your skin, but they are also good for the environment and are safe to use.
What is the difference between Olivida and other soaps on the market that claim they are natural, or made with organic ingredients?
The main difference is that Olivida is Certified Organic. That means our products have gone through an extensive review process by an independent third party, and have to abide by strict guidelines. This ensures and guarantees the integrity and purity of our ingredients.
Are all olive oil soaps the same?
No. Olivida’s first ingredient is virgin olive oil. Not just any olive oil. Our soaps are made with olive oil extracted from olives grown in the Mediterranean region. Our liquid soaps are not watered down like most liquid soaps on the market.
Are Olivida’s bar soaps sanitary?
Yes. Contrary to popular belief, it has been scientifically proven that bar soaps DO NOT transfer bacteria from one person to the next and are antibacterial by nature. Olivida’s bar soaps remove germs and can be used on your face, hair and body.
What is Glycerin?
Glycerin is considered an output and result of the interaction between the main components; water, olive oil and sodium hydroxide. We do not add the Glycerin to the soap or use Glycerin as a raw material. We write the Glycerin on the package because it is a result of soap making.
What is Caustic Soda?
The Caustic Soda is considered a main component of soap, and it is irreplaceable. All soaps are made with Caustic Soda, also known as Sodium Hydroxide. However, we can control the percentage used. These percentages are determined by regulatory and health authorities. Since Olivida is a Certified Organic Soap, we have to follow strict guidelines. Therefore we can only use less than 10%. Also, after the saponification process takes place, the caustic soda turns into a non-effective chemical substance and it has no effect on the skin.
Do your soaps have palm oil?
No. Olivida is free of palm oil.
Are your soaps Vegan?
Yes. Our soaps contain no animal products.

Are your olive oil bar and liquid soap scented?
Our olive oil soap bar is fragrance free. Our liquid soap is infused with lavender essential oils.
